Well I had a really weird experience on Thurs (the day we broke up)
Got all the usual lovely cards and gifts from the little ones, gorgeous flowers for my 60th tho it isn't till August.
So arrived home feeling happy and excitied to have broken up when WHAM my whole body started to shake and shiver and my teeth were chattering so much that my neck and jaw muscles started go into a spasm, went up to bed at 5.30 with a hot water bottle etc , was sick during the night but apart from that i slept solidly till 11 !!!oclock the next morning. Slept on and off all day Friday with really sore muscles and back and today i am just starting to feel better.
What on earth was that all about!

Surely it can't have been my body saying enough is enough? if it was then I am going to have to think long and hard about retiring from my beloved Support Assistant role.

Oh hon, I get like this when I am stressed. Shaking and shivering and then being sick. I bet lots of others on here have had the same sort of experience. Do hope you feel better soon - try and relax for a few days and if you want to sleep, then do so.

MUCH love

Wow Julie, how scary for you. It could have been stress. I get almost like that every school holiday. I don't work in a school but have a term time contract. I think I force myself to keep going, running on adrenaline, then when I stop it just hits me. I've hardly been able to do anything for the last day or so. I think my body has a big come down. I wonder if that's what happened to you? It's always busy getting everythin done before the end of term and you must have other thing on your mind too. I hope you feel better. Try to really rest over the next few days.

Julie xx

Oh Julie. Poor you. It sounds like a bug. You could have had a 24 hour bug and slept most of it off. I hope that is the end of it. Enjoy your holiday now and get some relaxing done.

Yes i am thanks Jean--still a bit nauseous and not up to doing much although we are about to have new kitchen worktops and sink amd a new lounge fire put in so i'm going to HAVE to do something!

I think nurse or the GP would only say it was up to me in the end really which i suppose it is. I'll be going for bloods soon so i'll be interested to see what they say.

Thank you for good your wishes everyone!

Hi Ladies,

I thought I'd better own up to not being a Teacher. I was a TA for 5.5 yrs....and YES, they do work hard and it's nice to see they are getting recognition.

I am a Pastoral Manager in secondary school, which I love, but is very hard work, but rewarding.

Enjoy your hols everyone
